The Hiflux High Fast 185 is a high-performance flat-bottom coffee filter designed to give you fast flow, high extraction and a rich, balanced cup. Made from specially engineered lyocell fibres, the High Fast combines permeability with filtration to give you more freedom when brewing.
Its fast flow rate makes it possible to work with finer grind sizes without the brew slowing down too much. This gives you more control over extraction and makes the filter particularly interesting for light-roasted specialty coffees where you want to explore more sweetness, complexity and depth.
At the same time, the filter allows a small amount of very fine particles through, adding body and texture to the cup without losing the clarity and character of the coffee.
The result: a fast, expressive filter that gives you more room to push your brew and discover what your coffee can do.
Why every coffee lover wants this:
- Fast Flow – Keeps water moving quickly through the coffee bed, even with finer grinds
- More Extraction Control – Gives you room to push extraction without the filter becoming the limiting factor
- Complexity & Clarity – Helps create layered cups while preserving the character and aromatics of the coffee
- Rich, Velvety Texture – The filter’s structure allows very fine particles to pass through, adding body and weight
- Lyocell Material – Made from a specially engineered cellulose fibre designed for high permeability
- Great for Light Roasts – Particularly interesting when brewing coffees that benefit from higher extraction
- Flat-Bottom 185 – Designed for 185-size wave-style flat-bottom drippers
