What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay by Bancontact, Card, iDEAL, KBC/CBC, or Belfius at checkout.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is €7.50 within Belgium and €12.50 to the Netherlands. Shipping is free on orders over €75 within Belgium and over €100 for the Netherlands. We currently ship to Belgium and the Netherlands only. If you would like to receive our coffee outside of Belgium or the Netherlands, please contact us.
How long does shipping take?
We aim to ship your order within 2 business days. After that, delivery time depends on your location and carrier. For Belgium, this is typically 1–2 business days. For the Netherlands, allow 3–5 business days.
Can I pick up my order instead of having it shipped?
Yes. You can choose free pickup at our bar in Ghent at checkout.
Can I return or exchange my order?
Yes. You have 14 days to withdraw from your order without giving a reason. Full details are in our refund and returns policy.
What does “pre-order” mean?
It means the bags are not in stock yet. You can still order, and we’ll ship it to you as soon as the batch arrives at tds.
What does “bar only” mean?
It means the bags are sold out online, but the coffee is still being poured as a drink at our bar.
Can I also buy ground coffee?
No, we only sell whole beans, never pre-ground. Grind at home just before brewing for the best flavour.
Why are some bags frozen?
Freezing is the best way to preserve freshness. It slows staling and locks in aroma.
When a new batch arrives, part goes straight to the shelf and part goes directly into the freezer. Before freezing, we tape over the one-way valve. Valves can freeze open in the freezer and let air and moisture in.
What does “Frozen since [date]” mean?
Each roast only comes in once. We freeze at peak freshness.
Once the never-frozen bags are sold out, we start shipping from frozen stock. The date shows when that bag went into our freezer.
What if I don’t want a bag that has been frozen?
Pre-order as soon as pre-ordering opens (subscribe to our newsletter to be the first to find out). Pre-orders will always receive fresh, never-frozen stock.
My bag was frozen. How do I handle it?
We handle all defrosting for you. We let the bag defrost for 24 hours at room temperature, fully sealed with the pressure valve still taped shut. This prevents condensation from forming on the cold beans.
You will receive defrosted beans that have preserved their freshness, ready to open and brew.
Please don’t refreeze. Refreezing dehydrates the beans and speeds up flavour loss. Store in a cool, dry place and enjoy within 1-4 weeks for best flavour.
Where can I find tds.?
Sint-Salvatorstraat 125, 9000 Gent, inside Footnote Gallery. See our contact page for more.
Can I cancel a table session?
Yes, but please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your seat to someone else.

If you cancel between 3 and 7 days before the session, we’ll offer you a credit for a future session instead of a refund.
If you cancel less than 3 days before the session, we’re unable to offer a refund or credit.
If you’d like to transfer your seat to someone else, that’s always fine. Just let us know their name before the session.
